Thu, Feb 7:

  • Tie Dye
  • Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
    Location: Cascade People's Center
We will be teaching two types of tie dying techniques – the bull’s eye and the spiral. Only those who reserve a spot will be able to create a bag and get the hands on experience. We will have 30 spots available to tie dye, so please register early! All are welcome to attend and learn the process. The class will be held at the Y @ Cascade People’s Center, 309 Pontius Ave N, Seattle WA 98109.

Tue, Feb 12:

  • From Cheese to Tiramisu
  • Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
    Location: Cascade People's Center
Ever wondered what makes some tiramisu better then others? Want to make a quick and easy desert that will have everyone raving? The secret is making your own mascarpone and while it might seem hard, it is much easier then it sounds.

In this class we will start by making mascarpone and then turn it into the super easy to make and delicious to eat tiramisu. If you have been wanting to learn how to make cheese this is a perfect starter class.

Please register early as we will be cutting off enrollment at 50 people. Seems like a lot but our last cheese class had somewhere around 140 people so please do register early and let us know if your plans change.

The Cascade Peoples Center is located at
    309 Pontius Ave N
    Seattle, WA 98109-5421

Tue, Feb 19:

  • Facilitator's Class
  • Time: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
    Location: Belltown area
Is there a skill, hobby, or chunk of knowledge you are passionate about? Want to share that passion with other interested people? Curious about how many people with an aversion to public speaking have come to love being facilitators?

Come to this class to learn how to be a facilitator with Seattle Free School, and to meet and network with other facilitators. This informal meeting covers what Seattle Free School is, tips on teaching, and how to schedule and promote your course.

Whether you wish to facilitate a class, or just want to learn more about Seattle Free School, you are welcome to attend this meetup. We recognize that teaching others can be an intimidating task, and we are here to support you and provide assistance in making Seattle Free School a fun adventure for you.

Actual class location will be emailed to those who register.
