Hostelling in Castles: Sleeping Royally at Pauper Prices

Is there a skill, hobby, or chunk of knowledge you are passionate about? Want to share that passion with other interested people? Curious about how many people with an aversion to public speaking have come to love being facilitators?
Come to this class to learn how to be a facilitator with Seattle Free School, and to meet and network with other facilitators. This informal meeting covers what Seattle Free School is, tips on teaching, and how to schedule and promote your course.
Whether you wish to facilitate a class, or just want to learn more about Seattle Free School, you are welcome to attend this meetup. We recognize that teaching others can be an intimidating task, and we are here to support you and provide assistance in making Seattle Free School a fun adventure for you.

Exploring Tanzania

Explore Tanzania Tanzania is a country rich in cultures, natural beauty and adventure. Learn about this friendly and fascinating country with CulturaLinks USA\'s Rebecca Blankinship and Tanzanian native Nyangusi (Stanley) Sirikwa at HI-Seattle on Saturday December 3rd at 1pm! Rebecca and Stanley will be sharing their stories, pictures and experiences in Tanzania, as well as talking about volunteer opportunities for travelers to Tanzania. Stanley has a unique perspective, from growing up deep in Maasailand, to living in Europe and having over 15 years of experience in the eco-tourism industry in Tanzania. He has led many groups of European and American friends on wildlife and cultural safaris and to the roof of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Bellydance Veil Workshop
Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Location: Planet Earth Yoga in Fremont
This Bellydance veil workshop is good for all levels. We will start out the class with a guided meditation focused on manifesting what we want to create in our relationships. (It is Valentine's weekend after all!) And then we will warm up and learn/practice moves with veil added.
Please wear comfortable clothes and feel free to dress up if you want! Please bring a lightweight veil that is appx. 3 yards long. The instructor will have a few extras but not enough for everyone.
Xtina is a Seattle based bellydancer who is currently in the dance projekt "Romcore". She has over 10 years experience as a performer and wants to start sharing knowledge of this awsome art from!

Build-a-Book
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Location: Crown Hill United Methodist Church
Here’s a chance to create a one-of-a-kind journal, diary, scrapbook, notebook, whatever book. All the materials you need to make an 8-1/2 x 11 (or smaller) 25-page blank book will be provided. The workshop will cover cutting covers and paper, drilling holes, covering covers, and putting everything together with a simple stitching technique. All ages and skill levels are welcome; however, because of the heavy-duty cutting and drilling tools being used, only an adult who is comfortable doing so may use the tools (the facilitator will help anyone who does not feel comfortable).

Dorothy Skans is a Seattle native and a life-long crafter slash artist. She is now in the phase of trying new things to do with paper and offers workshops to motivate others (along with herself) in expanding their horizons.

Traveling Nicaragua

Are you a traveler interested in the third world but concerned about going alone? Have you spent time listening to your friends warn you about the dangers of Nicaragua? Join traveler Jessica Dally to learn about her very recent experience traveling alone as a single female in Nicaragua. Learn a bit about the country, places to go and things to see and how to get around safely in the second poorest country in Latin America.
