Sat, Mar 14:

  • Creating Meaningful Success
  • Time: 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
    Location: Queen Anne Library
Success in the 21st Century often comes with a high price tag - disease, dissatisfaction and a feeling of never enough. Explore the cultural scripts that keep you chasing after someone else\'s dreams and start to unravel the fears and self limiting beliefs that keep you stuck. This interactive class will look at the relationship between success and personal fulfillment and get you started on the path to meaningful success in your own life. Perfect for anyone who has been affected by the recent economic crisis as well as those just looking for more in their lives!

    Supplies: notebook/pen

Facilitator: Desiree Bryan is a Certified Life Coach and the owner of Life Alignment Coaching. She supports individuals in bringing their outer world into alignment with their inner values so that they can live simply, joyfully and meaningfully.

NOTE: Daylight savings time seems to be messing up the posting times of classes here. This class is from 12:30pm to 2:00pm so please make note of that time!

Mon, Mar 23:

  • No-Kneed Bread (and pizza) Making
  • Time: 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM
    Location: Cascade People\'s Center
Think it\'s too much effort or complex to make bread at home? You would be surprised how easy it can be. Make fresh bread (or pizza) with minimal amount of time and effort. Often with results better than anything you can buy. All you need are the basic ingredients, some basic cooking tools, and about 10 minutes worth of effort.

Class is from 7pm to 9pm. Since this is not far from Daylight savings time the computer may mess this time up. Please make this note!

Tue, Mar 24:

  • Facilitating a Seattle Free School Class
  • Time: 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM
    Location: TBA
Come learn what it takes to facilitate a Seattle FreeSchool class. How to plan for your class, locations, etc will all be covered in this class/meeting.

Note: This class is actually from 7:30 pm to 9pm. There seems to be some problem with Daylight Savings Time and this program so regardless of what the time says it is actually starting at 7:30pm!

Wed, Mar 25:

  • Keeping Chickens in the City
  • Time: 5:45 PM to 7:45 PM
    Location: Montlake Library
Covering the basics of keeping chickens in the city. Includes information on starting with chicks. Come to this class and be ready to get your chickens this spring!

NOTE: Class is from 5:45 to 7:45. Since this is not far from Daylight savings time the computer may mess this time up. Please make this note!

Sat, Mar 28:

  • Introduction to Esperanto
  • Time: 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
    Location: Ballard Library
Learn to speak this international language. Designed to be easy to learn, its regular grammar has no exceptions, and spelling is completely phonetic. With its Latin base, it\'s a good springboard to learning other languages. Use Esperanto to travel cheaply and make friends around the world.

Arlyn has been using Esperanto for 24 years at international conferences, while traveling abroad, while hosting foreign guests, and through e-mail and penpals.

Note: This class is actually from 10:30 am to noon. There seems to be some problem with Daylight Savings Time and this program so regardless of what the time says it is actually starting at 10:30am!
