Is there a skill, hobby, or chunk of knowledge you are passionate about? Want to share that passion with other interested people? Curious about how many people with an aversion to public speaking have come to love being facilitators?
Come to this class to learn how to be a facilitator with Seattle Free School, and to meet and network with other facilitators. This informal meeting covers what Seattle Free School is, tips on teaching, and how to schedule and promote your course.

Mosaic Madness
Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Location: Crown Hill United Methodist Church
Paper mosaics come in all shapes and sizes. This workshop will offer lots of ideas for creating a shape and size that is just right for you using the facilitator’s huge supply of paper. You can choose to design a serving tray, picture frame, or vase using a wide variety of templates or your own design. The facilitator will cover preparing the surface, choosing (or creating) a design, selecting papers, adhering paper tiles, and protecting the finished piece. This is a family-friendly class and a great opportunity to work on a project with your kids.

Dorothy Skans is a Seattle native and a life-long crafter. She joined Seattle Free School in order to pass along her love of paper art as well as to pass along her over abundance of paper.

Keeping Chickens in the City
Time: 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Location: Street Bean
Want to keep chickens but don\'t know where to start? This class covers the basics of keeping chickens in the city. It includes information on starting with chicks, feed, housing requirements and resources to continue your chicken education.
Please note that this classroom is extremely small so the number of students will be limited. We ask that you do not sign up unless you are sure you can go and that if you need to cancel or plan on not attending that you let us know in advance so someone on the waiting list can take your place.

“I Do” What? Religious or Not, Choose the Right Words For Your Wedding Day

Step-by-step, Dayna Reid describes the elements of a wedding ceremony from beginning to end (including the vows), and the choices people can make with each element. Selecting an officiant or becoming ordained will also be covered.
Dayna Reid is a writer, executive and minister. She has officiated hundreds of weddings for people of many different faiths in the last 12 years.
