Paper mosaics come in all shapes and sizes. This workshop will offer lots of ideas for creating a shape and size that is just right for you using the facilitator’s huge supply of paper. You can choose to design a serving tray, picture frame, or vase using a wide variety of templates or your own design. The facilitator will cover preparing the surface, creating (or choosing) a design, selecting papers, adhering paper tiles, and protecting the finished piece. This is a family-friendly class and a great opportunity to work on a project with your kids.
Facilitator: Dorothy Skans is a Seattle native and a life-long crafter slash artist. She is now in the phase of trying new things to do with paper and offers workshops to motivate others (along with herself) in expanding their horizons.
This class will be held at the Crown Hill United Methodist Church at 8500 – 14th Avenue NW Seattle, WA 98117.
